Baileyville – Brenda Lynn (Neddeau) Leighton, 62, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2021 with her family by her side. Brenda was born in Calais on March 30, 1959, daughter of Lawrence and Ann (Day) Neddeau.
Brenda attended Woodland High School, graduating within three years. She then moved on to beauty school at Great Expectations in Bangor. Brenda relocated to Winterport and worked at Sprague’s Nursery. Eventually she moved back home to Baileyville and worked at Creative Apparel in Princeton. Brenda loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and reading Stephen King novels.
Brenda was predeceased by her father Lawrence Neddeau. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Ann Johnson of Calais; two children, son, Matthew Townsend and daughter Amanda McGraw; two sisters, Debra Wright and husband Gary of Princeton, and Mindy Allen and husband Arthur of Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 12 noon, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Princeton Cemetery, West St., Princeton.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will follow at the family camp on Big Lake. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
