Becky Elaine Devoe

Lambert Lake and Vanceboro – Becky Elaine Devoe, 58, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor surrounded by her family. Becky was born in Princeton on February 3, 1959, daughter of Bernard and Ella (Stover) Devoe.

She worked many jobs over her lifetime, most recently at Creative Apparel in Indian Township, and Hardwicks in Vanceboro. Becky served several years on the Vanceboro School Board and was a member of the Vanceboro United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with friends.

Becky was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Ella Devoe; and her grandparents, Barney and Mary (Trask) Devoe and Ernest and Birdie (Spaulding) Stover. Surviving are her long-time companion Steve Merritt of Vanceboro; three brothers, Danny and Mike Devoe of Lambert Lake, and Ricky Devoe and his wife Melanie of Baileyville; and her best friend Cheryl MacDonald of Wassis, NB. Becky held a special place in her heart for her four cats.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Vanceboro Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
