1948 Buzzard 2023

Barry M. Woolaver

July 23, 1948 — February 16, 2023

Robbinston, ME

Cheers to the beloved soul and “Buzzard”, a.k.a. Barry Marvin Woolaver.  He is survived affectionately by his son Barry; his daughter Rose and her husband Frank; his grandchildren Lucciana and Matteo; his sister Beth; and his cherished friends whom he considered family.

Buzzard passed peacefully in his home in Robbinston, ME, on February 16, 2023.  A few of his favorite hobbies were fermenting his homemade wine (Bog Juice), and picking wild mushrooms, mainly for the purpose of gifting them to his friends.  He loved hiking in the woods, even after a few scary falls!

Buzzard had a passion for socializing, especially if a few beers were involved.  His perfect day would be finding a quiet place to watch the water at Gleason’s Cove or sitting in the woods and listening to nature.  His spiritual relationship with nature should be a longstanding inspiration for all.  He was a gardener, and his cayenne harvests have made a lot of eyes water.  He saw his job as feeding fish, turkeys, and birds year-round.  He took full advantage of his lifetime subscription to National Geographic, many of which were bookmarked for his friends.  His compassion, love, and caring will never be forgotten by those fortunate enough to be close to him.

Cheers Buzzard – you are missed.
