Obituary for Barbara A. Dinsmore

Greene – Barbara A. Dinsmore, 68, went to be with her mother and loving grandparents on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. Barbara was born in St. Stephen, NB on February 3, 1948, daughter to Emerson and Dorothy (Tyler) Dinsmore. She was raised in Calais and moved to the Lewiston area in 1997, and for the past eight years resided at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Canton. Barbara loved life, her family and pets. She enjoyed being the center of attention and participated in Special Olympics where she won many ribbons.

Barbara was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Dinsmore; and her niece Pamela Dinsmore. Barbara leaves behind her father Emerson W. Dinsmore of Greene; her aunt Pearl Boardman of Calais; four brothers, Emmie and wife Sue of Topsham, Frank and wife Laurie of Oxford, Donald of Calais, and Carl of Sabattus; one sister Mary Murray and husband Randy of Turner; nieces Jennifer Dinovelli of CA, and Marie Montalvo and husband Bill of Raymond; as well as other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Calais Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Androscoggin Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210, or Pinnacle Health and Rehab, Activities Fund, 29 Pleasant St., Canton, ME 04221.
