Obituary for Aurelia M Gould

Princeton – Aurelia M. Gould, 90, died on December 20, 2005 at her home in Princeton. She was born November 9, 1915 at Grand Lake Stream, the daughter of Harvey and Helen (Smith) Kneeland. Aurelia was a long time member of the Princeton Congregational Church, where she served as secretary, treasurer and president of the Sunshine Circle. In addition she served as superintendent of the Sunday School for several years, as well as serving as the leader of the Church’s Youth Group. Aurelia was also a deaconess at the Congregational Church for many years. She also belonged to the Senior Citizens and the Princeton Womans Club. Most importantly she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William, two sisters Vera McCann and Ada Butler, one brother Royce Kneeland and a granddaughter Heather Roberts. She is survived by her daughter Gayle Roberts of Bangor, her daughter and son-in-law Pamela and Randy Rolfe of Winthrop; five grandchildren, Richard Grant, Gerry Grant, Dale Grant, Terrie Lyn Roberts, Amy Ryan and Richard’s friend Dwayne Shannon. Friends may call at the Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Dana Kadey, 1 p.m. Friday, December 23 at the Princeton Congregational Church, in Princeton. Burial will take place in the spring at Princeton Cemetery. Friends who wish may make donations in her memory to the Princeton Congregational Church, Princeton, ME 04668.
