It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Anthony Thurlow, born August 25, 1985, who left us on August 10, 2025. Anthony was a man of many talents and passions, whose love for life and family knew no bounds. A proud graduate of Shead High School's class of 2003, his thirst for knowledge took him further to Washington County Community College. Anthony's professional journey was as diverse as his interests, with his love for creating and building leading him to work as a carpenter, his talent leaving a lasting legacy including the Princeton fire department. He was equally gifted as a tattoo artist, his creativity and artistry etched on the skin and hearts of those fortunate to have known him.
Anthony was a man who found solace and joy in the great outdoors. His love for nature was profound, and he relished every moment spent fishing and camping. However, his true happiness lay in his family. The love he held for his five beautiful children, Lia, Anthony II, Kale, Ahmiah, and Sophia, was the heart of his existence. His world revolved around them, their shared moments, and the joy they brought him.
Anthony was predeceased by his grandparents, Fred Thurlow Jr. and wife Jane, Gloria Andoscia, and James Maguire; father Fred Thurlow III; mother-in-law Valerie Stevens Moore; brother-in-law Mark Stevens Jr; nephew DJ Thurlow; and best friend Samantha Dana. He leaves behind his wife Mariah Thurlow of Indian Township; five children, Lia Thurlow of Presque Isle, Anthony Thurlow II of Georgia, Kale Thurlow of Georgia, and Ahmiah and Sophia Thurlow, both of Indian Township; his mother Jennifer Hambelton and husband Roy of Corinth; grandmother Bonnie Maguire of Corinth; brothers, Frederick Thurlow IV of Calais, David Thurlow and wife Christina of Biddeford, and Ty Thurlow of Corinth; father-in-law Mark Stevens and companion Jackie of Indian Township; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jill and James Mendoza of Indian Township; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Anthony's life will be celebrated at a later date, where we will gather to share memories, laughter, and tears. Arrangements are being handled by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services. We invite you to share your memories of Anthony and upload photos to his memorial page at www.MaysFuneralHome.com to celebrate his life and the love he shared with all of us.
