With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angela Marie Tinker, 58, who left this world on June 26, 2026, following a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. Angela was born on March 1, 1968, in Calais, Maine, to Christopher and Jane (Socoby) Tinker. Her life was marked by compassion and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Angela's strength of character revealed itself in every chapter of her life. She found her calling in service to others as a dedicated EMT with the Pleasant Point Ambulance Service, answering every need with selfless devotion. After welcoming her first child, Angela poured her heart into the role of a full-time mother, nurturing her children and creating a loving, supportive home. As her children grew, Angela sought new ways to help others and found great fulfillment as a custodian at the Indian Township Elementary School, where she worked for 14 wonderful years. Her warmth, kindness, and joyful presence brought comfort and laughter to students and colleagues, leaving an indelible mark in their lives.
Angela's vivacious spirit shined in all she did. Friends and loved ones will remember her infectious enthusiasm for life-her delight in playing pool, her love of dancing, and her unwavering loyalty as she cheered on her beloved NASCAR racers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Wherever she went, Angela brought light, laughter, and genuine joy, drawing people in with her generosity and sense of fun.
Her family was always at the center of her world. Angela is survived by her loving children: Darlene "Raven" Tinker and companion Jay Mazzadra Jr. of Bangor, and Christopher Drake of Indian Township. Her legacy lives on in her three cherished grandchildren-Alexander Peters, Anthony Michetti, and Aiden Tinker-each carrying forth her boundless love and unwavering support. Angela's spirit endures in the hearts of her siblings, Sherri Wheaton of Old Town, Frances "Penny" Storey and husband Robert of Eddington, and her devoted brother and caretaker, John Tinker of Indian Township. She is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews who will forever miss her caring presence, wisdom, and laughter.
Family, friends, and all whose lives Angela touched are invited to gather for visitation beginning Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Indian Township Elderly Meal Site, 85 US Route 1, Indian Township, with visitation continuing until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Joseph Lukong at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at St. Ann Church in Peter Dana Point.
Angela's life was defined by love, kindness, and strength. She faced every challenge with courage and gave endlessly to those around her. As we gather to honor her memory, we find comfort in the legacy of compassion she leaves behind. May her example continue to inspire and guide us all.
