Obituary for Alma P Harvey

Baileyville – Alma Harvey, 84, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at a Calais nursing home. Alma was born in Baring on March 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Jack and Martha McCurdy. She was a member of People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyville and loved to hunt, fish, camping out to Clifford Lake and all the musical gatherings she had at her home with family and friends throughout the years. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Harvey Sr.; a brother, Horace McCurdy, a sister, Elizabeth Griffin and her husband Maynard; and a great-grandson, Ryan Farrar. She is survived by a sister, Bernice Tracy and husband Amos of Baileyville; a sister-in-law Dorothy McCurdy of Alexander; a daughter, Arlene Blaney and husband Richard of Baileyville; a daughter, Marilyn Morrell and husband Gerald of St. Stephen, NB; a son, Daniel Harvey Jr. and wife Linda of Baileyville; a daughter, Sandra Crosby and husband Frank of Baileyville; a son, John Harvey Sr. and wife Kelli of Baileyville; a daughter, Joanne Harvey of Baileyville; a very special friend who was like a son, Raymond Farrar of Baileyville; thirteen grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, May 12th , at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, 1 p.m. with Pastor Bernie Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Baring Cemetery
