Abygail "Abby" Jean Hooper, 45, passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 29th, 2023. She was born in Calais on July 6th, 1977, the daughter of Ralph W. and Karen L. (Leighton) Hooper.

A graduate of Washington Academy, she enjoyed taking walks on the beach, kayaking, sitting by an open fire, listening to music and baking. Above all else, she loved being around her family. 

Abby is survived by her children; Katlyn Mahar of Bangor, Pete Mahar and companion Maia Fenderson of Perry, and Darian Hooper and fiance DJ Bliss of Pembroke; three grandchildren- Braydi Boone, Paisley Bliss, and baby Mahar due in June; three brothers- John Archer and wife, Alison of Dennysville, Anderson Hooper of Dexter, Jonathan Chevrier of Eastport; nephews- Izyck, Blake, Landon, and Hardy; nieces- Kendall, Ashlynn, and Kynlee; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Saturday May 27th, 2023 at the Dennysville Cemetery followed by a gathering at John & Alison's home.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
