The last time I saw Maynard, he warmed me through with his heartfelt and sincere memories of my Bob and the old AIM days. And he called me Kcikakak, as he always did. Safe journey to the ancestors, old friend. Until we meet again.

I never had a grandfather, but that is what I considered him. Maynard was so good to my mom, and my grandchildren. My mother was close to Maynard, They spoke every day, numerous times. He always made sure that she had everything she needed. He also kept her up with the News. The regular news and the Rez news. I hope there really is an afterlife, so that he will be reunited with his family and friends. Rest in peace Maynard. I will miss you more than you would think. Much love, Annie
