Obituary for Margo Lynne Harvest

Margo Lynne Harvest passed away from a debilitating illness on June 23, 2018. She was born March 4, 1950 in Boston, the daughter of Robert W. and Marguerite B. (Goodwin) Harvest.

Growing up her family lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Texas, and finally Boulder, Colorado where she graduated from Fairview High School in 1968.

Margo then headed for Columbia, Missouri to attend Stephens College for Women and studied Fashion Merchandising and Psychology.

She began a career in Retailing in San Francisco working at the Macy’s flagship store on Union Square as a manager and fashion buyer. Later she joined the I. Magnin & Co. hq store also at Union Square. While working in San Francisco she commuted from Tiburon daily in her MG.

Margo returned to live in the Boulder/Denver area and worked in Retail. In Denver she actively volunteered for years at the Denver Film Festival and also served on the board of directors of a homeless shelter in downtown Denver.

She was predeceased by her brother Bruce in 1962, her mother in 1991, and her father in 2006. She is survived by her long-term friend and partner Gerald Farr, her daughter Heather Dofher, husband Dan and granddaughter Brianna of Centennial, Colorado, and by daughter Alexandra Chapman and husband Chance of Arlington, Texas.

She loved animals, especially dogs,
and also, film, dance, and music.


A private remembrance and celebration of her life is planned. The family would like to thank all her Calais area friends for their contributions in supporting her and making her life better.

She will be forever missed and loved.
