Lyle Robert Hamilton

Princeton – Lyle Robert Hamilton, 57, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 20, 2018. Lyle was born in Lincoln on August 14, 1961, son of Dale and Faye (Ripley) Hamilton.

After graduating from Lee Academy, Lyle’s love for the outdoors led him to working in the woods. He eventually started his own logging company, LR Hamilton Inc., which he owned and operated until his passing. On June 28, 1997, he married his love, Jill McCray. Lyle enjoyed hunting, boating, traveling, but most importantly, spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Jill Hamilton; three children, Tiffany Ramsdell and husband Tony of Princeton, Heather Stevens and husband Ian of Indian Township, and Mikayla Hamilton of Princeton; five grandchildren, Addison and Ella Ramsdell, and Kendra, Shealynn and Calvin Stevens; his sister Penni Theriault and husband Mark of Princeton; brother-in-law Chester McCray and wife Shirley of Baileyville; sisters-in-law Patsy Hill and husband Earl of Alexander, Barbara Hickok and husband Tom of Charlotte, NC, Gladys McCray of Baileyville, Susan McCray of Baileyville, Irene Moreside of Calais, and Eleanor McCray of Grand Manan, NB; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; his office manager and niece, Denise HIll of Princeton; and his canine companion, Harley and his “granddog” Axle.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Codyville Cemetery in Codyville. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
