Perry – Carole Frances Allen Rensema, 84, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at her home in Perry. Carole was born in East Bridgewater, MA on March 9, 1935, daughter of Howard and Marion (Pierce) Anderson.

After graduating from Orleans High School in Orleans, MA, Class of 1953, Carole married her high school sweetheart, Robert Allen. They moved to Boston where Carole worked as a teller. With Robert serving in the Coast Guard, they returned to Cape Cod where she became Head Teller for Cape Cod Five Cent Savings Bank. Eventually they relocated to Maine in 1972. After Robert’s passing in 1997, Carole married Robert Rensema (Retired Major United States Army) in 2006. She loved traveling and enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and knitting.

In addition to her parents, Carole was predeceased by her first husband Robert Allen; her second husband Robert Rensema; two brothers, Howard “Sonny” Anderson, and Leonard Anderson; and a sister Beverly Chase. Surviving are her three children, Kenneth Allen of Cape Cod, MA, Terri Taylor and John Knowlton of Perry, and Lynda Ward and husband John of Pembroke; five grandchildren, Jessica Fullerton and husband Tim of Robbinston, Heather Taylor of Robbinston, Forrest Beal and wife Heidi of Perry, Emily Allen-Ward and Thomas Carter of Edmunds, and Michael Allen-Ward of Pembroke; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister Lois Graf of Loveland, OH; a brother Wayne Anderson and wife Karen of Millinocket; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janet, Stephanie, Benjamin, Donald and Karen; many nieces and nephews; four step-children, Robert Rensema of MO, Tim Rensema and wife Hayley of WA, Peter Rensema and wife Dawn of East Machias, and Jane Belt and husband Neill of PA; and many step-grandchilden.

In keeping with Carole’s wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will take place at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
