Condolence: So sorry to learn of Bertha’s passing. She was a kind and thoughtful lady who made history as the first woman elected to serve as Clerk of the Maine House of Representatives. Bertha was proud of her service to Maine and always maintained a love for the Maine Legislature and an interest in those who served there. I always enjoyed my visits with her and will remember her fondly. My mother, who is 90, has many fond memories of Bertha, her sister Shirley and their parents. Condolences to the family.
