Barbara L. Robinson

Machias – Barbara L. (Noddin) Robinson, 80, passed away on June 18, 2019 in Machias. Barbara was born on April 27, 1939 to Thomas and Lela (O’Neal) Noddin in Calais where she spent her childhood and met and married Clifford “Kip” Robinson on January 14, 1956. She worked at Hathaway’s Shirt Factory for a few years before moving to Machias in 1976 where she took a job managing Machias Valley Shoe Store. Barbara was a people person, she loved socializing and enjoyed her many years at the shoe store, working with the public.

Barbara and Kip spent winters in Florida together, where they enjoyed each other’s company along with the company of their children and grandchildren during visits. She looked forward to any time spent with her family, as that was when she was happiest. Barbara was selfless, loving and supportive, she was a natural caregiver and will live on in those closest to her.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Robinson in 2013; her son, Thomas Robinson; a brother, Norman Noddin and her beloved great granddaughter, Baylee Kilton.

She will be remembered by her daughter, Brenda Ramsdell and her husband Randy of East Machias; two granddaughters, Kellie Kilton and her husband Adam of Roque Bluffs and Shana Ramsdell of East Machias; a great granddaughter, Kisten Kilton of Roque Bluffs; sister-in-law, Patsy Noddin and a niece, Kathy Noddin.

Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband at Jacksonville Cemetery during a private committal service. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
