Having lived in Maine since 1998, Brian Mays chose to settle permanently in Washington County, purchasing the facilities in Calais in February of 2005, and in Eastport in July 2006. His deepest desire is to bring his fresh, young, life-affirming approach to funeral service in Washington County.

Brian Mays is no newcomer to funeral service; he has been working with the bereaved since he was sixteen years old. This speaks volumes about the man, who as a teen faced the challenges that are naturally part of this business with unusual resolve. He continues to thoroughly enjoy serving his community as a funeral director, and his dedication literally shines through in everything he does.

His commitment to excellence took him to the West Virginia University for his undergraduate work, and then on to the Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science, where he graduated with honor in 1994. Prior to moving to Maine, Brian was a licensed funeral director in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Being licensed as a funeral director since 1994, Brian has worked with hundreds of families as unique as your own. He and his staff will bring that wide experience to your family's arrangement meeting, and with their strong listening skills, thought-provoking questions, and professional expertise, help you to make the best decisions possible in a most difficult time.

Mays Funeral Home's compassion, honesty, integrity, patience, and professionalism, make it the funeral home you can trust now, and in the future.
